Project Safe Childhood Helps Bring Buffalo Man to Justice for Distributing Child Pornography
Derek Armstrong, Chief Crime Correspondent, Crime Report USA
An ongoing investigation, tied to Project Safe Childhood initiative of the US Department of Justice, resulted in another man found guilty for distributing child pornography. As part of the investigation, a law enforcement officer posed as a fourteen-year-old boy. According to court documents, the sex offender sent pictures of a minor to the undercover officer.
Jason Dale Gordon, a 46-year-old Buffalo man, pleaded guilty today to one count of distribution of child pornography in a federal court. He appeared before Judge Joan Ericksen of United States District Court in Minneapolis. Gordon was originally indicted August 20, 2009.

Gordon admitted to sending pictures by internet of a minor in a sexually explicit pose to an individual “he thought was a 14-year-old boy”, according to the plea agreement—a boy who turned out to be an undercover law enforcement officer. The incident occurred August 9, 2008.
Gordon faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison for his crime, and a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison, to be determined by Judge Ericksen at sentencing.
